At the June 11th City Council Meeting, the Mayor and City Council voted to authorize the City of Selma “Small Business Reinvestment Program (SBRP)”.  The SBRP is a local economic development program that grants up to $5,000 to eligible small businesses in Selma with less than 15 full-time employees that can demonstrate a loss of at least 20% in revenue or employment for the period beginning March 1, 2020 and ending December 31, 2020.  Eligible industries include retail, food and beverage, personal care, health/wellness, and small manufacturing businesses. National chains, financial institutions, professional services, apartment complexes, and non-profit organizations are not eligible to receive grant funding from this program.  Grants will be awarded on a first come, first served basis.
