PUBLIC HEARINGS AND REGULAR MONTHLY
MEETING OF THE SELMA CITY COUNCIL

March 11, 2010

The Selma City Council will convene in a Council Meeting on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 6:30 P.M. in the Selma City Hall, 9375 Corporate Drive, Selma, Texas 78154. The Order of Business will be:

Call to Order
Roll Call
Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance

Citizens to be Heard – (This time is provided for citizens to address the Council on issues and concerns. No action can or will be taken on issues raised under this portion of the meeting. Please limit your remarks to a period not to exceed three (3) minutes. We ask that you approach the microphone and state your name and address for the record).

1. Discussion/Possible Action on the Minutes of the February 11, 2010 Regular City Council Meeting.

2. Discussion/Possible Action on the 2009 Racial Profiling Report Required pursuant to Texas Code of Criminal Procedure.

3.Public Hearing/ Discussion/Possible Action on a recommendation from the Selma Planning and Zoning Commission on an application for variances to the Zoning Ordinance, to be applicable to certain lots at the Retreat at Retama Park Subdivision. The variances requested apply to certain minimum area requirements found in Section 82-304 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Selma and to off-street parking requirements found in Section 82-703 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Selma.

4. Public Hearing/Discussion/Possible Action on a recommendation from the Selma Planning and Zoning Commission on an application to re-zone certain lots in the Retreat at Retama Park Subdivision from MF-3 to TH-2 including consideration of Ordinance 031110-01.

5. Discussion/Possible Action on the First Quarter 2010-2011 Budget Execution Review to include possible Budget Amendments.

3. Discussion/Possible Action on Order of Election for the May 8, 2010 Election to elect a Mayor and Council Members Places 2 and 3 on the Selma City Council.

4. Discussion/Possible Action on the Contract for Election Services between the City of Selma and Guadalupe County.

5. Receipt of the Franchise Check from GVEC.

6. Discussion/Possible Action on the Selma Investment Policy including possible adoption of a Revised Selma Investment Policy.
